Crypto-funded checkout: use the right order reference

crypto payments in Indiamerchant order referenceCryptoSe app

A seller may receive the right amount but still be unable to identify which order it pays. This is especially relevant when several invoices share the same amount or a fee portal uses a customer-specific reference.

The problem is allocation, not necessarily failed settlement. A bank credit without a usable order reference can remain unmatched in the merchant’s system.

CryptoSe is coming soon. This guide explains a proposed crypto-to-INR payment approach. Contact CryptoSe to confirm current access, KYC, supported assets and networks, merchant eligibility and written terms before transferring funds. It does not claim universal acceptance or that the service is available for your purchase today.

    What to confirm before authorisation

Ask the seller which identifier must accompany payment and whether external INR settlement is accepted for that checkout. Provide the invoice and reference to CryptoSe before quote confirmation. Do not assume a generic QR automatically encodes your order.

Check whether the order expires or changes reference after a failed checkout. If it does, confirm the current reference with both parties before proceeding.

    Payment evidence and follow-up

After settlement, ask the merchant to acknowledge the correct order number. Keep the bank reference and invoice together. If the merchant received the credit but the order is unallocated, request allocation rather than sending a duplicate payment.

How to discuss this payment with CryptoSe

Send the team the intended purchase, final INR amount and the specific issue described above. Ask whether it can support this payment and request a current, itemised quote. Verify every instruction through official channels. In the proposed merchant flow, conversion and INR settlement are separate: the merchant receives rupees, not USDT or other crypto over UPI.

Review how CryptoSe works and supported assets for context, but reconfirm the exact network and transaction eligibility with the team. Only authorise a transfer after you understand the instructions, costs and expected evidence. Keep the seller’s receipt as well as the crypto transaction record.

    Indian tax and cost considerations

No fixed rate, fee or completion time is offered in this article. Section 194S provides for 1% TDS subject to applicable conditions and thresholds; TDS is a tax credit, not a platform fee. Income from VDA transfers is generally subject to Section 115BBH at 30%, plus applicable surcharge and cess. Using crypto for a purchase does not automatically remove transfer-related tax obligations. Retain acquisition and transfer records and ask a qualified CA about your circumstances.

Ask CryptoSe about your payment before moving assets. Describe the invoice and any deadline without sharing wallet secrets.
