## What CryptoSe does

CryptoSe lets anyone in India pay merchants with cryptocurrency by scanning a standard UPI QR code. The user keeps their crypto in their own non-custodial wallet — CryptoSe never holds funds. At payment time, the platform converts crypto to INR via PMLA-aligned banking partners and settles UPI to the merchant in minutes (subject to banking partner availability).

### The 4-stage non-custodial settlement flow

1. **Scan** — User opens CryptoSe, scans any merchant UPI QR code, sees the INR amount and the live crypto equivalent.
2. **Sign** — User signs the crypto transaction from their own wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Phantom, hardware wallet, etc.). Funds leave the user's address — not a custodial pool.
3. **Convert** — CryptoSe's regulated banking partner converts the crypto leg to INR at the quoted rate, withholds 1% TDS at source.
4. **Settle** — INR is pushed to the merchant's UPI VPA over standard NPCI rails. Merchant receives a regular UPI credit.

## Frequently asked

**Is paying with crypto via UPI legal in India?**
Yes, when routed through an PMLA-aligned entity (FIU registration in progress (Temp ID: Temporary/2025/VDASP/219)) that handles KYC, TDS, and AML reporting. CryptoSe is structured exactly this way — the user pays in crypto, the merchant receives INR via standard UPI, and the conversion happens through a regulated banking partner with full audit trail.

**Does the merchant know I paid with crypto?**
No. The merchant receives an ordinary UPI INR credit from CryptoSe's settlement partner. They see INR in their bank account just like any other UPI transaction.

**Does CryptoSe hold my crypto?**
No. CryptoSe is non-custodial. You sign every transaction from your own wallet. We never have withdrawal rights over your funds.

**Which wallets are supported?**
Any EVM wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rabby, Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet, Ledger, Trezor), Solana wallets (Phantom, Solflare), and Bitcoin wallets via WalletConnect or direct address signing.

**What are the fees?**
A transparent conversion spread plus the 1% TDS withholding. No hidden custody fees because there is no custody.

**Can businesses accept crypto payments?**
Yes — any UPI-accepting business is automatically able to receive payments via CryptoSe. No integration, no app install on the merchant side. See https://cryptose.co.in/for-merchants.
